What is ISO 45001?
ISO 45001 certification is an international standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS), aimed at improving safety and health for employees and stakeholders.
Introduced in March 2018, ISO 45001 marks an important step forward in the collective effort to improve occupational health and safety (OH&S) worldwide. Issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), this standard enables organizations to proactively improve injury prevention and disease reduction, while protecting organizational sustainability. .
ISO 45001 certification replaces previous occupational health and safety standards, including OHSAS 18001. Currently, the latest version of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System is ISO 45001:2018.
